Arabic Language, Literature and Culture: Between Historicity and Modernity

News Release Tuesday, 11 April 2023

Hindun, et al.

Title: Arabic Language, Literature and Culture: Between Historicity and Modernity. International Seminar Publication in Celebrating 70 Years of Prof. Dr. Syamsul Hadi, S.U., M.A.

ISBN: In progress

Editor: Hamdan

Pages: xvi + 694 pages

Synopsis: The linguistic studies in this book cover two areas of analysis, namely structural linguistics and functional linguistics. The structural linguistic survey begins with a phoneme study related to the pronunciation of Arabic vocabulary in deaf children compiled by Megawati et al. In this study, there were additions and changes in the Arabic accent. Factors that may cause this issue are the sound production system, weak ability to listen, damage to the speech organs, and the effect of sound similarity on consonants.
