SDGs 4: Quality Education|SDGs 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth
Yogyakarta, January 27, 2024 – Several students from the Arabic Literature Study Program, Department of Language and Literature, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FIB UGM), have just completed an internship program at the Al-Atsari Islamic Education Foundation. Exploring invaluable experiences in the world of teaching Arabic language in non-formal institutions and Tahsin Al-Qur’an, this program successfully equipped students with practical knowledge in the field.
During the internship, students not only learned about the management of education and teaching Arabic and Al-Qur’an. They also had the opportunity to get to know various learner characters according to age category and methods of delivering material that can make it easier for participants to understand Arabic and Tahsin Al-Qur’an.
Through teaching activities at the two institutions, students gained expertise in teaching and innovating in the field of education. These skills are real proof of the success of the internship program. The students were able to apply the knowledge they learned in college to the workplace, while also contributing to the field of education, especially in teaching Arabic and Al-Qur’an.
