Yogyakarta, 20/2/2025 – On Saturday, June 8, 2024, UGM Language Center (Pusat Bahasa), collaborating with British Council, successfully held an IELTS test at Soegondo Building’s 7th floor, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Gadjah Mada University. The test was conducted for 25 students of the English Academic of Purposes (EAP) program for the recipients of the DXHR (Development of Exhaustive Human Resources) scholarship under Bappenas’ Pusbindiklatren for the year 2024, resulting from the collaboration between Language Center and National Development Planning Agency (BAPPENAS). The students have successfully completed all parts of the test and are now waiting for the result.
This initiative aligns with SDG 4: Quality Education, which aims to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. By providing these students with access to internationally recognized English proficiency testing, Language Center, British Council, and BAPPENAS are equipping them with essential skills for academic and professional success. Subsequently, this enhances their opportunities to higher education and career advancement, fostering a more educated and skilled workforce that can contribute to sustainable development.
