As a form of celebration of “Kamis Pahing” which falls on September 8, 2022, the academic community at the Faculty of Cultural Sciences UGM wear traditional clothes from various regions. This activity was well and positively welcomed by the academic community at Faculty of Cultural Sciences UGM. A variety of beautiful and colorful traditional clothes from different regions were showcased at the “Kamis Pahing” event in the Faculty of Cultural Science UGM area. The appeal for the wearing of traditional clothing on “Kamis Pahing” refers to the regulation of the Governor of DIY (Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta) number 87 of 2014 concerning the use of traditional clothing on certain days in Yogyakarta. The “Kamis Pahing” celebration, which falls once every 35 days, is expected to preserve and preserve traditional culture, as well as the kindness values contained in it.

On Thursday, September 1, 2022, at the Poerbatjaraka Building, Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB) UGM signed a cooperation agreement with Ullen Sentalu Museum, Yogyakarta. The signing of the cooperation was represented by both parties, namely Dr. Setiadi, M.Si. as a Dean of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences UGM and KRHT Daniel Haryodiningrat, B.A., M.Hum as Head of Ullen Sentalu Museum.
The collaboration between the Faculty of Cultural Sciences UGM and Ullen Sentalu Museum is the application of the “Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka” (MBKM) curriculum internship program. In addition to providing benefits for both parties, this collaboration also aims to increase the preservation of culture as one of Indonesia’s assets.
Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FIB UGM) signed a collaboration with Prime Hotel Plaza Yogyakarta and The 101 Yogyakarta Tugu Hotel on Friday, September 2, 2022. The collaboration is a form of internship program for FIB UGM students as the development of Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) . It is hoped that with this collaboration, both parties can optimize the use of their respective resources in the implementation of the Tridarma of Higher Education and develop a network of cooperation with industry and sustainable partnerships.
On Friday, June 24, 2022, an event called “Angkringan Cah Sastra #2” was held with IKASASDAYA.
Entitled “Merindukan Ruang Budaya di Kampus selepas Pandemi”, angkringan was enlivened by Aprinus Salam, Anang Batas, and Nurul Afiyah Ramadhani Bachri. The event was held in Luweng Sugondo and took place lively as a forum for students and alumni to get together. It is hoped that Angkringan Cah Sastra can become a space for the entire FIB academic community in expressing and speaking.
From August 1 – August 10, 2022, 7 students from the Indonesia-Malaysia Department at Busan University of Foreign Studies, Republic of Korea, will study at INCULS FIB UGM to prepare their participation in this 2022/2023 semester academic year.
BUFS and FIB UGM have carried out regular student exchange activities since 2019, and in this program students from BUFS will study Indonesian language and take lectures in various study programs at FIB UGM.
