Vision
By 2022, the Arabic Literature Department should be a nationally, regionally, and internationally recognized Arabic Literature program which is based in the Pancasila and emphasizes ethics, honesty, and academic freedom.
MISSION
• To provide higher education in the fields of Arabic language, literature, and culture which is recognized at the national, regional, and international level.
• To increase the quantity and quality of research in the fields of Arabic language, literature, and culture to develop knowledge, education, and art which is recognized at the national, regional, and international level.
• To conduct community service in the fields of Arabic language, literature, and culture.
• To develop collaborations with domestic and international institutions.

IMPORTANT PROGRAM
An important program in the Arabic Literature Department is its student exchange and credit transfer program with the Suez Canal University, Egypt, in preparation for a double degree program.
ACHIEVEMENTS IN RESEARCH
The Arabic Literature Department, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, UGM, has numerous achievements in research into the Arabic language, literature, and culture.

لقد رأيت في قسم اللغة العربية جامعة كاجة مادا، الكثير من الأشياء الحسنة كالإدارة الجيدة والتنظيم الممتاز والتعاون المثمر بين أعضاء هيئة التدريس أو بين الأعضاء والطلاب، وكذلك تطوير وسائل التعليم لتعليم اللغة العربية.
وأجو أن يكون التعليم باللغة العربية بصورة كاملة نصا وشرحا، لأن أي لغة أجنبية لانتعلمها إلا باهذا، وخاصة في المراحل الأخيرة.
